You can’t control desire
until you’re willing to give

potential until you’ve embraced
what you’ve lost. You can’t taste
completeness completely
without absence. You have lost
yourself in time. You have lost your sense
of meaning. I can’t admit
that I am the same. I fear that I have lost
potential. So much energy spent hiding .
Forming distance that leaves
me shapeless. And I will never feel
communal healing without wearing my fears
on my sleeve.
I have lost myself in crowds of nothing.
I have lost my sense of composure.
